Core Return & Credit Policy
Strokin Diesel
2500 2nd Ave E, Oneonta, AL 35121
Many remanufactured diesel parts (injectors, pumps, turbos, modules, and similar units) are sold on a core exchange. The core is your used part. The core charge is a refundable deposit that makes sure a rebuildable unit comes back.
This page is the contract for every core item we sell. It is not a new-product return and not a warranty claim.
Two ways to handle the core
Option A — Send cores first
Do not pay a core deposit. Ship your used cores to us.
We will not ship your new or reman part until those cores arrive and pass inspection as complete and rebuildable.
Option B — Pay the core charge and we ship
Pay the published core amount at checkout. We ship the product on our normal schedule.
You then have 30 calendar days from the ship date to get the matching used cores back to our shop for a core credit.
If you pick Option A and later need the part before the cores get here, switch to Option B by paying the core charge. We will not ship on a promise.
30-day return window (Option B)
- The clock starts on the ship date of your new/reman product.
- Cores must arrive at our shop within those 30 days. A label printed on day 30 is not enough.
- One core per unit purchased. Sets and kits require every core piece in the same return.
- Need more time? Call or email before day 30. Extensions are written only.
- After day 30 with no acceptable core on our shelf, the core charge is kept. We may refuse a late core or buy it only at scrap/rebuild value, at our discretion.
What we accept
Cores must be like-for-like, fully assembled, and rebuildable, as determined by Strokin Diesel after inspection.
Full core credit when all of this is true
- Same application / same family as the part you bought
- Complete unit, not taken apart
- No fire, melting, or heat destruction
- No missing major parts (connectors, actuators, gears, valves, covers, shipping shells)
- Not wrecked from impact, cracked mounts, or bad removal
- Not run on waste vegetable oil or homemade/alt fuel where that ruins the unit
- Drained so the box is not soaked with fuel or oil
No credit (or a reduced credit) when any of this is true
- Wrong application
- Disassembled, gutted, or missing pieces
- Fire or melted internals/housing
- Broken mounts, housings, electronics, or threads that make it scrap
- Packed so poorly the carrier destroys it
Inspection is visual and final at our shop. A tracking photo is not an approval.
How to ship cores
- Contact us for a core authorization and put your order number in the box.
- Use the original box and inserts when you have them. If not, a stout box marked with the part name and order number.
- Write CORE on the outside of every box.
- Ship cores only. Do not mix cores with unused product returns or warranty parts.
- You pay freight and insurance to us. We are not responsible for cores lost or damaged in transit.
- Photograph the open box before you seal it. Keep the tracking number until the credit posts or the order ships.

After we inspect
- Pass, Option A: The order is released to ship.
- Pass, Option B: The core amount is credited to the original payment method after inspection. Card or bank posting after that is on the processor.
- Fail: We notify you. Option A stays on hold and does not ship. Option B gets no core credit (or a reduced credit if we can use part of the unit). You may send a correct rebuildable core inside the original 30-day window, or pay the core and we will ship.
Rejected cores are held 7 days after our notice if you want them back; you pay return freight. After that they may be scrapped.
Once a passed core is processed into our core pile, it is not returned.
